I believe it happens when the MM's have no shares so they fill the order and cover immediately by getting shares from another MM. Which is why I found it funny when there was a big wall and mirror trades. I would be happy to hear a better explanation

did you see the 6 digit mirror trade 8 minutes ago for 999,999 shares. Retail can not trade in more than 4 digits
