Everyone (well, most everyone) realizes that's just a calculation figure based on what the coin is designed to represent. Hopefully, everyone (most everyone, that is) knows how the "value" is calculated.

But it's like anything else. If it can't be sold, it has no true value. That's evidenced by the fact that in the 5 years they've had possession of the coins, not one has been able to be sold.
