This is all speculation on my part and keep in mind I’m not a patent lawyer nor am I a photonic chip designer.
If Poet is doing an IP tech transfer or if the Celestial photonic interposer shown in their design is utilizing Poets designs, Poet would be all over announcing that fact jmho.
They have made great announcements discussing the co design of the external light bar so why not the optical interposer as well.
My belief is Broadcom and TSMC will make the photonic fabric and Orion chips utilizing TSMC 5nm process nodes. Broadcom was co designing the photonic fabric with Celestial.
The photonic fabric is a very large surface area to mount multiple ASIC’s with a pic, and memory chips.
We know Poet has an incredible volume opportunity just for the light bar product so it’s not a complete disaster jmho.
I’m sure one of the well connected investors on the main board could get an answer from the company.
