In defense of doctors, there are over 19,000 prescription medications on the market to keep track of. Unfortunately, they have to rely on the input from wholesalers to get a lot of their information. So in Amarin's case, that is exactly zero ongoing information.

And there are so many conflicting opinions on the internet, that depending on who they follow, they may be justifiably led to a different conclusion about Vascepa. And let's call it like it is - a lot of cardios and others that follow CV disease follow our nemesis.

Icosapent Ethyl

Why is this medication prescribed?

Icosapent ethyl is used together with lifestyle changes (diet, weight loss, exercise) to reduce the amount of triglycerides (a fat-like substance) in the blood It is also used along with cholesterol-lowering medications (statins) to decrease the risk of a heart attack, a stroke, or other heart problems that require hospitalization in certain adults with high triglyceride levels and heart disease or diabetes with 2 or more other heart disease risk factors. Icosapent ethyl is in a class of medications called antilipemic or lipid-regulating agents. Icosapent ethyl may work by decreasing the amount of triglycerides and other fats made in the liver.

The quotes above - straight out of searching for Icosapent Ethyl - on National Library of Medicine:

Shows how much 'Skinny Label' "protection".is worth.

Who reads the label anyway. If you can get 'supposedly the exact same product - in a number of well known generic brands - cheaper - how many will object to that.

Now 5 - (guaranteed every day infringing on 'skinny Label' - Vascepa) - in th US - thanks to Judge Du of Nevada.
