IMHO YES they are attempting to DO JUST THAT , as imho it will save them from having to buy out all those shares when the buy out of COMMONS takes place and imho is taken private.

Think about it would ya want to buy it out now @ 54 ish or wait till value shows it's face and ya have to pay $128

Not sure WHY a CEO cares who owns shares? Is 'Share Structure' influencing his decisions?
Just run the Company and those who want to buy shares, do so.
