Haysaw, Long time / no see. Hope you are doing well :o)

Concerning shorting, that is part of Bigworld's strategy (up to 10% short), but to me it seems too risky. Instead of shorting, I would just go to cash, but everyone has their own approach. Fwiw, my allocation model is fairly conservative, with 20% stocks, 30% bonds, 20% T-Bills, 15% cash, 10% gold, 5% silver. I currently have the 'metals' category at 20% instead of 15%, but will probably return to 15% with the extra 5% going into the broader commodity areas like energy, agro, etc.

Looks like our old nemesis (Cortex / RSPI) is still slogging along. I haven't followed them in recent years, but apparently they are splitting off the cannabinoid side to an Australian outfit (ResolutionRx), with RSPI keeping the legacy AMPA stuff, and another subsidiary going into GABA (EndeavourRx). I haven't been following the bio sector very much though.

I remember you were into the cannabis sector a while back, and looks like the Feds are considering moving pot from Schedule 1 to Schedule 3, so the sector is finally getting a bounce. That sector has been so leveled that any amount of good news could have an outsize effect.

Just curious what areas you are following these days? Biotech lost its luster for me, but remains interesting to follow in a limited way. The 'gunslinger' days are now a distant memory, but it's still fun to dream of the 100 bagger, lol. Hope you fared OK during the recent hurricane Idalia. Florida is nice, especially in the Winter, but does come with some risks. It's also become 'ground zero' for the culture wars, DeSantis vrs Disney, etc, so never a dull moment in the USA these days..
