If the goal is to reduce the company's stock price, you can say you believe in the product and present an argument that the company will make no money. In many ways it's a more clever argument as people don't question your intentions.

For instance, no one will argue that an Airbus A380 is a spectacular piece of technology... yet the program's being discontinued.

Not that my opinion mean's anything, but FWIW I think Mike's a real investor.
