ST was selected by Biden to be an administrator not an innovator. She won’t do anything beyond maintain the status quo unless there is action and direction from congress. And we all know the likely hood of the latter.

Sandra's silence doesn't surprise me. 735 FHFA employees, 711 of whom are dispensable, want to keep their jobs as long as possible, preferably forever.

Appreciate the insight whomarjb. She was at the FDIC for over 20 years - honestly, she probably is over her head but is a decent person from a solid south side Chicago family. I saw here Confirmation Hearing on CSPAN and I believe her parents attended and they are probably very proud of how far she has come. As TH has said - the impetus for anything to get done near term has to be Jared Bernstein and Lael Brainard. I doubt Director Thompson would oppose any proposal by Bernstein.

i doubt she has good advisors to tell her that this is unsustainable and time to act is now. i am curious on the silence when public has spoken with 8 random jurors in her backyard.

Her lack of movement on release may be as simple as not knowing how to approach it

And I have been saying this since her nomination hearing. She is dumb, unqualified and has no clue of what she's doing

My source says that they all speculate that Sandra may not be very smart, that for as smooth as she is during public events, she just isn't very well read with colleagues and underlings

Speculate? It should be pretty obvious to everyone. It was obvious to me day I saw her talk for the first time at her nomination hearing

Everything you have said is already known.. Not just sandra, it includes congress too.. 1) They dont know how to resolve it.. So instead of admitting it, come up with textbook, taxpayer bailouts, safety and soundness jargons etc 2) They do not want to resolve it.. Whats the necessity, whats the urgency? Everything has been working BAU .. so why fix something that aint broken (I know, Pun intended)..

So 2024 is where we need to look at .. Unless courts helps us in Collins even better.

And for all Orange fans, it wont be Orange for sure.. Hope its a 3rd party candidate who wins... if its Orange and JB that are our choices... Lets start looking at the GSE stance of other GOP candidates too.. just in case.. I am very certain it wont be orange though.. Extremely confident about it

Could you ask your source if most of the 735 employees are there as favors to politicians?
