Great to see Tesla margins come down.

They'll NEED more sales to book the same revenue.

But Tesla's market share is shrinking - in the US and abroad.

Soon they'll also have to cough up big money for fines, judgments and/or settlements.

Tesla’s EV market share fell from 72 percent in January-February of 2022 to 58 percent in the same time this year.

AutoNews says Tesla CEO Elon Musk has slashed prices considerably on most models. Despite his best efforts, demand is still easing.

Tesla's (TSLA) electric vehicle (EV) sales in China fell more than 30% in July compared with June, data from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) showed on Thursday, as the company idled production while domestic Chinese EV makers gained market share with more-affordable offerings.

The decline comes at a time when domestic Chinese EV makers are gaining ground on Tesla in their home market.
