Apparently it’s in the excipients (emulsifiers.). I was reading the very long description. It’s above my pay grade, but very interesting.

The BIG QUESTION should be if this is something that Alex Denner
could use to lure in a BP. My speculation is that EPA would make an
excellent adjunct drug for any Cancer therapy or medication...One that
would lead to better outcomes, reduced complications, and better survival
rates. BP likely would not care about such effects unless they had a means
to monetize it. This patent may give them a way to monetize such an EPA
drug. Of course, this sounds like a more efficient way to get EPA into the
brain which could be for Cancer treatment, Alzheimer's Disease, closed head
injuries, or other forms of dementia. The key would be to sell the concept to
BP that could then protect the patents for it and control its development their
way!

The Big question is; Will this put the Generics out of business (so to speak)?

I don't see it. But that may be OK. I've got a script for V but am getting a generic. And it seems I'm just not getting the benefit that I did w/ the real stuff. Whether it's because I'm not getting as much EPA or because I'm accruing more and more miles every year, I'm supplementing it w/ 2 grams of EPA 500 and feeling better for it. Kinda like a half a can of STP with each oil change.

But this has its limits. Parkinsons is treated with an oral form of the neurotransmitter no longer produced by the nerve and there are issues with flooding the system to get the minute amounts to where they are needed. Likewise there are issues with trying to break the blood/brain barrier by brute force application of EPA.

Time will tell.
