The boat is sitting, rusting away. It isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. I suspect the boat will have to go into dry dock and be inspected and refitted for its classifications. The possibility commercial use of that boat diminishes everyday it sits. Certainly if they intend for the boat to move through water under its own power, it will certainly need dry dock. One can assume correctly the thrusters and running gear to be completely covered in marine growth.

The drilling ship must be inspected in dry dock Twice every five (5) years, with not more than thirty six (36) months between examinations.

That ship has to go back to dry dock before they try and go harvesting for nodules next year.

Expect heavy dilution to pay for the dry dock inspection reclassification certification for insurance.
