#46576 RE: Dallas-Cowboys #46573

B4 the globe went public, Egan had already made a billion dollars selling his controlling interest in Alamo to Republic, and Nantucket Nectars to Ocean Spray.
His investment in the globe was nothing compared to that. But as most entrepreneurs I have known or worked with, they hate to lose. They do not subscribe to the adage, you can lose battles but still win the war. They want to win every battle. As Egan here with the globe, after it crapped, out he waited until something else came along where he could cash out big time. Not 22M shares at 4 or 5 dollars a share. But 22M shares at $25+ a share. $500M. Something hes used to making on a deal. Then he finally wins this war too. So he didnt really sell his controlling interest on the cheap in his eyes.
