My solution to that problem is to only write calls on my trading shares so if they get called away I make the option premium and a small profit on the trading shares themselves. My core holdings are still intact.
I don't make the big bucks that way but I do make a steady profit. That is, when there is enough volatility to get a bit of premium. Of late that hasn't been the case.
I did sell the last of my small trading position at $9.22 for a minimal profit.
Kev, don't feel bad. You have good trading analysis. In 2014/2015 , I bought about 100k shares at the 16/18 cent Bottom. As the price rallied to 80 cents, I got nervous and sold about 50k shares, at 80 cents. Right before the 4x price change. The trading game is all relative to the picture we see at the time.
