Because I've been to the funeral of 8 people, who died from gbm and I know, that from you get your diagnose and the outlook of "months yet to live", I assume those with a wish to live, immediately wants to research options.
In this example the daughter was diagnosed a year ago (that could be 12 months, it could be 18 months, it could be 8 months, but pretty safe to say, that it was in 2022, due to the statement "one year ago").
The mother then researched possible treatments to prolong her daughter's life, and I think its safe to say, she had an incentive to move fast. So when she came upon an expert stating "within 2 years", when she came across DCVax-L, I assume this was pretty close to the diagnose, that is ... sometime in 2022, but definitely before the JAMA Journal november 2022. With this milestone in hand, would the doctor have said within 2 years? Within 1 year?
We don't know, but I'd say the doctor stated "within 2 years" 8-18 months ago and before the publishing of the journal.
With that in mind, I'm pretty sure he'd now say ...
"Within soon!"
