IMO, Management didn't DENY that the KT Tape agreement changed... they just didn't answer the question. They responded with a riddle.
* They also respond with a riddle whe asked about Synergy.
* They also respond with a riddle when asked about Nalepka.
* They also responded with a riddle when asked about the Corporation Forfeiture in Maryland (which they have since remedied).
It's as if Whelan thinks this is a game and her riddle responses are clever and cute. New flash, Whelan: your riddle answers are not clever or cute. They are immature and inadequate.
I agree that KT Tape did fine without BIEL before, and they will do fine without BIEL in the future. The termination of their no-compete clause won't really hurt KT Tape -- their lack of ActiPatch marketing limits their sales and their high price (on the 720-hour version now) limits their sales.
I think the termination of the no-compete clause isn't really a bad thing or a good thing for BIEL -- it's mostly just a thing. It SHOULD be good for BIEL, in theory, but as you suggest, if Whelan won't shell out a few hundred bucks for a PR, will she shell out $$$ millions for marketing and advertising? She seems focused on keeping expenses at a bare-bones minimum to achieve her mythical "profitability," but at what cost?
Will Whelan hire, and PAY, a full-time Sales VP? If Nalepka is listed as Sales VP on the Q2 financials (as of 06/30/2023), is he just a straw dog? How can one person be a full-time Sales VP at two companies?
BIEL's shiny new sales website is a waste of resources if they're not going to spend money on marketing. Nobody who doesn't own BIEL stock is going to find BIEL's website, and even if they do, they won't pay $36 for an ActiPatch. (Is BIEL offering free shipping and free returns like amazon?)
Penny wise, pound foolish.
