WAMU....when the head gasket failed, the coolant also entered the engine... she noticed white and blue smoke coming out the tailpipe while she got off the freeway...the car was still chugging until it went dead... however, the next day we turned the key and the engine pistons were not seized.... my guess is that the car over heated driving fast on the freeway (she was using synthetic oil, so it still had some residual lubrication), and the head gasket blew, and sucked in the coolant, and then the piston bores got full of fluid....the mechanic says she needs a new head gasket, rebuilt valve block, (the old one warped)
