The majority of the trades are between shorts especially high volume days
They do that to create illusion of selling
The shorts trade between themselves..one buys on bid, other sells
Wash trading games can be seen here
However this has dropped way too far in past few weeks considering market is on fire, this is close to 52 week lows..not much left to sell, but rally potential due to the short covering is high from here
