One pharma company must realize that there is enough meat on the bone with Brilacidin for both them and IPIX to flourish once the drug gets put to use

You can also ask: Why did Ipix-model R**n require 18 years and maybe USD$1 billions to find a first partner with a large company to advance their drug? Why?
The answer is the same in the situation for Ipix and Brilacidin: The offer needs to be correct for the possible value of the drug.
Ipix owns Brilacidin for 10 years. A good offer for Brilacidin will not require 8 years more.

Your last comment is the most reasonable explanation IMO. Otherwise, as you note, it does not make sense. Furthering my belief that we will see eventual commercialization from outside our borders.

"Hard for me to believe the medical community is this clueless; must be some other reason and to me it is that they fear what Brilacidin could do to quite a host of Big Pharma popular drugs."

I believe that an additional possibility is interested parties are biding their time with the idea that IPIX will go bankrupt and B can be picked up for a song. This could also explain the persistent fear peddling mercenaries who to this day seem to believe calling investors fools, bag holders, gullible, and a stream of other insults is an effective strategy in convincing people to throw in the towel,

The Beamed investment may turn out to have been a brilliant strategic move in keeping the jackals at bay. IPIX is laying low while letting others determine B's potential while Beamed moves steadily toward producing a revenue stream.

I don't think Leo's primary focus is on providing an income from a dwindling pile. While the short term money may seem like Leo's purpose I think his real goal is to be the guy who found, acquired, and brought to market a life saving and life changing drug.

IMO, if this were true, Big Pharma would be fighting each other to get control of (own) Brilaciden to either dominate the market or prevent others from owning it and controlling the market.
