Tats. good catch

The government covers Kaiser's costs treating COVID-19 patients. This coverage was provided under the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency declared by the federal government in March 2020. The emergency ended on May 11, 2023, but some states and regions have extended their own public health emergencies. This means that coverage for COVID-19 treatment may still be available in some areas.

Under the federal public health emergency, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) reimbursed health plans, including Kaiser Permanente, for the cost of treating COVID-19 patients. This reimbursement covered the cost of inpatient care, outpatient care, and prescription drugs.

The end of the federal public health emergency does not mean that Kaiser Permanente will no longer cover the cost of treating COVID-19 patients.
However, it does mean that Kaiser Permanente will be reimbursed for these costs at a lower rate.
This may mean that Kaiser Permanente will need to raise premiums or deductibles in order to cover the cost of treating COVID-19 patients.

Guess Kaiser found little benefit using V for Covid ....so why spend any more $ on it if it's not going to help reducing Covid expenses they need to pay for
