Bright Boy, pgsd, senti, yes I take your points, and agree that the UK government is creating a fast track for promising, innovative cancer vaccines, which does include DCVax. I was simply pushing back on the notion that the committee and meetings were explicitly set up for, and only focused on, getting DCVax to market, as the OP was suggesting. I don’t think it was.

It seems to me that the UK government is buying the hype of the mRNA cancer vaccines in a broad sense, likely based on the belief that their success in Covid (with the government’s help) will translate to cancer, and formed the partnership with BioNTech (and this working group) to aid in their development. I think they may see DCVax, (which is much further along in development) more narrowly focused as a “brain” cancer treatment, that certainly fits in the “cancer vaccine” category that is being prioritized.
