IWe need more George Carlins. Back in the 1980s my daughter was attending Washington State U. She and a friend had been to a Carlin appearance. They stopped in a coffee shop, on their way back to their Dorm. In walked George Carlin.
He looked around the lightly occupied room and sat down with the two girls. He didn't introduce himself. He simply ordered coffee and a pastry-- and stated talking.
About campus life, lightly on politics. Asked the girls about themselves. Nothing about himself..
After about half an hour, he excused himself and walked out.
