#79149 RE: Tesla thru the roof #79142

Uhhh, so what?

That's like saying Coca-Cola has no competition because they're the market leader. Nestle, PepsiCo & Red Bull would beg to differ.

There's about 200 non-Tesla vehicles on that list. Each has the potential to take away thousands of sales from Tesla.

There's 21 other manufacturers on that list by my count. BYD is missing, and that's a big one. Also missing are Xpeng and Nio.

Some are just ramping up production, so their small numbers don't reflect the harm they will inflict on Tesla's market share in the near future.

Audi

BMW

Cadillac

Chevy

Ford

There will be millions of non-Tesla EVs sold this year alone. TELL ME THAT'S NOT COMPETITION!

Commenting on the market outlook, Senior Analyst Soumen Mandal said, “Although sales of the traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles remained stable in Q1 2023 compared with that in the year-ago period, the significant growth in EV sales indicates a rapid transition from traditional vehicles to EVs.”

“By the end of 2023, global EV sales are expected to surpass 14.5 million units, according to our forecast.

It would be ignorant to believe that millions of lost sales don't comprise competition.

Don't forget the masses who will never buy a Tesla because of the deranged CEO's expressed views and opinions. He's already alienated many of Twatter's users.
