Thanks, BB,

AE put an article by Michale Lim current a faculty at Stanford in which tumor associated antigens (TAA) were mentioned. He said since the antigen are present in both tumor and normal cells, the robustness of the vaccines using TAAs may be limited. We know that the combination of DCVax-L and poly-iclc has no such issue. Likewise the currently undergoing combo trial, which from one perspective shows how extraordinary DCVax-L is.

Glioma-associated antigens (GAA) are genetic mutations that are present in both tumor and
normal cells but are preferentially expressed at a higher level in the tumor cells. Many GAAs have
been studied over the years such as gp100, EphA2, IL-13Ra2, and survivin. However, GAAs may limit
the ability of the immune system to generate a robust response given their co-expression on normal
tissue and subsequent host immunotolerance.

Thanks BB,

I think the moderators should consider sticky for this post.

I believe that what your friend had to say is true, it's been recognized by experts in the field, and guess what, I believe they're buying stock in the company, but not advertising that they're doing so. It's clear that a lot of medically knowledgeable people post here, and I'm sure many keep their silence. I know my spinal surgeon got in when I told him about it, and so did his friends, frankly it's down since that time and I haven't seen him, but I'd be willing to bet he's bought more. He does know Dr. Liau and also does brain surgery at Cedar's, so I'm sure the word's getting around.

I think we're sitting on a gold mine, we're inches from one of the all time biggest gold finds, we just need to keep digging a little longer. I wouldn't be surprise if executives at companies like Merck, who know about it, have privately invested as well, whether their companies ever get involved, or not, they either want it in their own portfolios, or if they're concerned about inside information, it may be in the names of friends and relatives. Who knows, maybe even AdamF, or his friends, have taken advantage of the bargain basement prices he's helped to achieve.
