Basic logic can be used to understand the share price..

1) The majority of the shares are in the hands of longs who aren't selling.

2) If there are few real sales/buys then the algos can just trade the fake shares and peg the price where they want it...

... until....

News is good enough to blow the lid off the price and force shorts to cover.
