There is absolutely no way, whatsoever these purchases were for any other institution, wealthy individual or hedge fund. They were purchased for GSAMG's overall portfolio the transactions for which are entirely and solely under their discretion. The kind of transaction (purchase for someone else) you are suggesting would be handled exclusively by the brokerage arm of GS.
