Correct, the fact that Linda Powers left Enron in 1997 should be enough for people to move on, case closed. The bulk of the Enron scandal peaked in 2001 way before 1997, IMPO.

Long before. Not even sure that any of those transactions had taken place that blew it up, by that time. Enron was at its height then.
