Yes StockCharts $NatGas ticker is the continuous contract, and updates once daily at end-of-day.

BOIL just rolled from the August to the September contract this week, the same as the $NatGas ticker did. Yesterday I believe.

I do see ^NGU23 and BOIL are similar. Not sure I would call them identical, but close enough.
