The unassailable truth is that none of us know where these guys are on the commercialization continuum. They (management) have taken great pains to keep the actual facts as nebulous and inscrutable as humanly possible. E.g., Alleged NDAs, top secret revenue projections, unnamed tech licensees etc. Some excuse this inscrutability as some sort of competitive stratagem. That’s an obvious rationalization. It is extremely difficult to muster any faith that management is being straightforward with shareholders. I’m not saying that there’s intentional deception; but I think one could quite plausibly say intentional and continued obfuscation. Why is this the case? I can only speculate that there are tech problems that have not yet been solved, which the company prefers to keep non-public. As of now, though, it’s all a huge mystery.

Ok I’m breaking my own promise but I clicked my post and saw your response.

I never said I think they may not have a prototype in the next 12 months. I said that since LWLG said they expect to be inside almost 8,000 transceivers in 2024, that if we don’t see a prototype within 12 months there could *possibly* still be a hurdle to getting it completed. HOWEVER…that doesn’t mean failure or “insurmountable hurdles” because the second half of 2024 could be prototype reveal AND initial deployments at the same time. Who knows. Who cares. It’s happening. It’s such a short timeframe relatively speaking so the company would NOT say they’ll be inside transceivers in 2024 if they weren’t actually going to be.

This all lines up perfectly with company timelines and goals. 2024 has been customer acceptance for a while now.

Putting words in my mouth as always.

By the way, you don’t need a PDK/tech transfer to have a prototype transceiver. I’m not sure what will be announced first.

They started transceiver development in 2022. We now know what the modulator array looks like. They are BLATANTLY progressing.

I’m not in the dark whatsoever. Sure I don’t have 100% of the information but I know enough about this technology to see the BLATANT progress. I’ve also paid real money attending conferences and buying white papers to get a deeper understanding.

Sure, announcing the deal on the morning of the SHM is funny. Like actually, funny. I’m glad they did it that way. Surely caught some with their pants down. But I know for a FACT it took months to negotiate so it wasn’t some BS deal put together last minute to satisfy shareholders. 100%.
