Individual vaccines that are made in a batch then utilized over a period of 18 months or longer would be more difficult to keep track of when you think about it. Again, similar to a sperm bank control and distribution process. Now can you imagine stepping this up to all solid tumors. That’s a lot of batches and freezers that should really be on emergency power. A specialized facility would be more appropriate. Perhaps a facility near a Federal Express office in Memphis TN?
Good to know but they are different I think. Doesn't the RNA vaccines have snippets of the covid molecule whereas DCVax has the whole intact DC cell. I would think much less stable.
As a CVS retail pharmacist, I can assure you that we receive items stored at -50 fFahrenheit relatively often. I don’t see us on a retail level ever giving a DCVax injection however. Maybe arranged thru CVS Specialty and delivered to an oncologist’s office, but probably not thru retail.
