hankmanhub,

This is a basic understanding but years ago I read up on how immunity and immune memory develop from pre natal to post natal exposure to antibodies, peptides and other antigen sources. The primary set of self antigens are recorded in cellular DNA and RNA. Things that a pregnant woman is exposed to during the pre natal and early post natal period helps naive T-cells in the developing child gain tolerance and memory to more foreign substances from self then because of developing immune memory and antibodies passed on and presented to the child during gestation and nursing and this helps create longer term tolerance to certain non self antigens and intolerance to others that the mother’s immune system reacted to. This is why expectant mothers and young children need to be exposed to lots of foods and other things that do no harm to build up healthy tolerance through blood born markers, gut biom and other. This is also why a sick mother can pass on antibodies that form during a sickness to the developing child through the filtered blood stream nutrient supply but the child is generally protected from the consequences of the mother’s illness because colonizing pathogens are screened out.
One if the big post natal issues is if a child is kept in too “clean” of an environment after birth, intolerance can develop to otherwise non harmful substances which creates an over active immune system leading to allergies and other. Memory T-cells, B-cells and DCs are primary carriers of the immunity libraries and tolerance during the learning period of up to about 8 months of post natal development then starts dropping off and more intolerance begins as the immune system of the child begins to become more self dependent as antibodies acquired from breast feeding drop off. Best wishes.

hankmanhub,

B-cells with libraries help T-cells with lock and key ID. Self antigens get turned away from attack by T-cells this way or cell death is triggered and cleanup if they begin to attack self unless the system is set off kilter. Best wishes.
