When you pay a guy 43 million a year is it too much to ask, not to make the bullpen pitch 6 innings. He gave up 5 runs in just 3 innings. Yes we know the bullpen isn't deep enough, but the starters don't go deep in these games and when you pay a guy 43 million to be an ace giving up 5 runs in just 3 innings is a disaster. Yes the bullpen didn't get it done, but buck had to use everyone, because verlander went 3 innings. What a terrible singing he has been. Mets blew 3 consecutive games with 3 run + leads, the franchise has never had that happen. Let me say again what I watched the last 3 day has never happened in franchise history. I'm waiting for the bad pete news, which will stomp out just about any hope I have left if he is goes to the IL for an extended period of time. To say this loss bothered me was an understatement. All is just my opinion of course.
