I do not think a complete library of all possible self proteins is likely or even possible. The onlt store of info or "library" each cell has is the DNA. All proteins that make up the body had to originate from some mRNA. Perhaps there is some way to identify valid mRNAs? But that number would be huge. And we are dealing with the later stage of proteins broken into antigens on the APCs.
T cells that a reactive to self are eliminated in a process to protect the body from attack, T cells with TCRs that recognize non-self are spared and expanded.
