When you look at players like Gehrig and to a lesser degree Cal Ripken Jr it is amazing they played in so many consecutive games. Obviously they had injuries along the way but stubbing your big toe should not keep you out of the lineup.

Today's players can't run from home to 1B without pulling a hammy.
