There's nothing to criticize regarding CLF's pricing moves. The point is more that pricing moves are a attempt to increase revenue but those moves have a chance to create demand destruction or customers will simply find other supplies.
In the end, with a product like steel the customer has more control over pricing than the supplier has. The big exception is when the government interferes and that's unlikely to continue forever.
So today Cliff is selling to the street for $1200 less a 25% discount.
