OK, I got it now, as an American you can have dual citizenship but you cannot return to USA without an American passport.

It sort of sheds some light on why Canada adopted the same illogical logic in 2016.

I can't got to Canada with my french passport. Yet I was born there, worked there, fed the economy with my company....

Go figure.

And they should lose their voting rights if they do. Allegiance can only be to one nation, same as you can't serve two masters.
