Someone posted on a board several years back about what you address. It was a very credible post that MANY seasoned traders endorsed at that time.
MM's are NEVER afraid of a "short squeeze" when it comes to OTC companies. The share price might slip aware from them for a few days, but because they are allowed to naked short OTC's without watchdogs catching them at it ... GTCH could hypothetically run to $.05 a share by Monday close, and then come a day or two later, the MM's could naked short it right back down to where the price is now ... IF it suits their "make profits" fancy.
However ... if one or more deep pocket MM's fully believes this company is going to truly get off the ground ... they'll let say the $.05 stand and keep manipulating it higher and higher in share price. They KNOW shorting kills momentum from the masses and share price RISES brings a lot more cows and horses to the water trough and hay bales soaked in milk and honey.
