A friend of ours had 8 hour surgery two days ago. He is taking part in a trial with imvax , does any one on the board have any knowledge of the trial.

Are you talking their GBM trial?

I doubt you will hear anything good here wrt a personalized GBM vaccine that is not DCVax-L.

To be honest, there is not enough data from the P1 to really say if the stuff works. Nothing wrong with the data to date, but as always need more than just early data to know.

Best of luck.

jm100,

Sorry to find out about your friend but there is certainly some hope if he is on the active vaccine. The tumor environment is generally compromised but the introduction of the anti sense treatment seems to help overcome this and the apparently unmodified lysate Is introduced right back into where it can be effectively targeted by an immune response near any remaining un resected tumor tissue. The high dose from earlier research showed the best response so perhaps your friend will find some significant benefit if on the treatment arm. If not, then hopefully by the time any recurrence might happen L will be approved where he can gain access as an rGBM patient if there is need for a backup plan. Praying the best for you all. Blessings and best wishes.
