#212535 RE: bar1080 #212531

Some of my "neighbors" of the Hacienda breed and raise llamas, alpacas, and goats, I have never had any of the llamas or alpacas wander off and visit the Hacienda, butt I have had goats on the roof (and on the decks). The Hacienda is at the top of a very steep ridge I (and thus the goats) can step onto the Hacienda roof from the upper driveway.

Generally, I need to wear my Nike football cleats when working on many areas of the Hacienda and the Estancia, as both are on steep hills/ridges. I just did some glyphosate, dicamba, and 2,4-D spraying and will be weedwhacking next week and chainsawing the many fallen branches from this winter's brutal storms..Doing this on steep hillsides while wearing cleats in 90F+ dry heat can be ... well I CONsume a lott of Gatorade + water and take frequent showers.

The current, modern Nike football cleats are much superior to the crap cleats I had in high skool. The new Nike cleats stick like Velcro to the steep hillsides.Well-designed. One size too small (I am a 14/15 and the local Bigg 5 Sporting Goods store only had 13s in stock).

Seeing the trees I planted decades ago growing to the sky makes me feel good. I have a coastal redwood that I raised from a seedling in a Folgers coffee can and transplanted by the irrigation pond at the Hacienda, as they typically will nott grow in a high, dry environment like the Hacienda. That redwood is very tall already and growing strongly as its roots drink from under the irrigation pond. Like DaSun, it has grown into a beast. That coastal redwood ~OUTT of place among the native tall pines and digger pines and cedars. It is a DEI token.Woke treeism.
