SURG I’m not so worried about whether the sign ups are real. I get constant mailers for credit cards yet third parties set up pop up tents to sell them. For that matter there are MVNO’s selling phone service despite the fact the real operator, say Verizon, constantly sends out mailers to sign up directly.

Also you can do a search for providers by area and in NYC for example there are 5 pages of companies doing this. They wouldn’t all be trying to sign people up if there wasn’t an opportunity there.

Realistically this is no different than the other things I buy with ideological problems. I own OPXS, but I’m not a fan of a trillion dollar military budget that is in large part a welfare program for Raytheon and foreign governments. I traded PayPal despite their ill fated plan to steal customers money if they expressed an opinion PayPal didn’t like. I would still buy Pfizer despite vaccine welfare payments if it looked like a good buy.

I’ve kind of separated that from money decisions because if I avoided every company I have an ethical or moral problem with there would be nothing left.
