So let’s face facts here. People are hurting financially because governments are hurting financially. Governments with Socialized Healthcare are not going to pay what Amarin is asking. They’d rather see their patients die rather than pay for lengthening their lives.
Insurance companies are no better off. They’re in the same boat. Premiums are skyrocketing. The corporate executives aren’t making enough money. Do you really think the insurance companies care a rats about healthcare? They care more about their ability to generate cash flow.
Need I continue? There’s more at play here than just Sarissa taking control of a small biotech. And no, I don’t need an excuse so I can sleep at night. I know I made the right choice. Those former blood sucking leeches at Amarin made a shambles of a great little company. Alex Denner salvaged what was left.
