I take Shawn's point as being that he ought nott have to call the company for information that should be published for all to see at the same time. Instead, the company seems to be leaking information to select persons who then parrot the info onto public media forums. This use of selective leaking thru trusted minions provides The Clownshow with <b >plausible deniability that is nott available if they PR the rumours they propagate and, as is usual, the rumours prove to be false bullshit.
That is the way these scummy pennyscams do this. This is known as the Grapevine Telegraph and sometimes the minions are compensated, butt often the company can utilize overzealoue and/or desperate existing shareholders who will do it with~OUTT compensation because it makes them feel special to have "insider information" and to be "the source" disseminating the cool kids info to the selected masses. Basically the ego makes it possible to use these minions with~OUTT having to compensate them. It is kinda like the celebrity hangers-on who strive to make it seems like they are close friends of the celebrity and thus in the cool kids crowd.
Pennyscams like AMFE/FUNN/FUNNQ use this Grapevine Telegraph system rather than publishing the information publicly, like on a quarterly CONference call, a monthly newsletter, a PR, or at the annual shareholder meetings..
This selective communication using cut~OUTTs to distribute the info (whether true or false) has an added benefit that as the information slowly and selectively leaks to a slowly increasing number of individuals in the "downlines" of the Grapevine Telegraph. Each recipient of the info thinks they are privy to material non-public information and thus they may be incentivized to purchase or hold the stock and/or to recruit others to buy the stock.

It is just how pennyscam are run.
