Never mind the spin rate. Check the pitcher before he takes the mound after every inning.

Max had to be loading up his glove between innings. And he was told to get a new glove. And I am familiar with why the batter wants a certain amount of tackiness on the ball.

Before HDTV and super slo-mo no one cared about spin rates or a grain of sand in a sand trap for that matter. Now you want spin-rate reviews too?

Hell I'm still trying to figure out WAR which I think is silly.

Mets looking pretty good to me. When you have 3 hitters (or more) in a line up connecting, that's enough to chew through the mediocre trams in baseball. Alonso, McNeil and Nimmo show up every night. When Lindor and Marte find their groove, the line up will be more than enough to carry the Mets into the playoffs IMO. This will put you in about the same place you were at the end of last season: looking for a couple of pitchers who can peform in October. Hopefully, 2023 works out bettere than 2022 in this area (unless of course, you're playing the Brewers!)
