I am not confusing anything. I fully understand the difference between the two reports. The value and interpretation of the different reports is where we differ.

The daily short volume does not mean what most people think it means. This is explained concisely in the link I posted.

What you are describing, and sharing with the board is simply how the system works. You say it yourself. How is there price manipulation when the price isn't changing? And how are profits maximized when 5 million shares trade with a spread of 0.0001? That's not much profit to spread around. And again, that is exactly how it works. Market Makers do their job, and they make money off the spread between the bid and ask. Nothing illegal, and nothing nefarious. We don't have to like it, but that is currently the system.

Reporting daily short volume for BIEL as if it is somehow a problem is where the confusion lies.
