Ah yes. The old argument from fallacy approach.

Certainly there are people that hire on to a biotech when success is uncertain, otherwise startups would have no staff.

At the same time senior people have the skills and job opportunities available to them such that they can choose among positions that have a much higher likelihood of success. In the Anavex case it is approaching a binary outcome on the AD trials. These are people with the skills and background to review the data and assess the likely outcome and then decided to join the Anavex team or in Ma's case become the COB.

In short, they voted with their feet and decided to come onboard.
