The talks are said to be in the late stage with a deal possibly announced as soon as Sunday, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Merck is looking to add new products to its pipeline as its top-selling drug cancer therapy Keytruda, IS EXPECTED TO LOSE PATENT PROTECTION THIS DECADE.

They’ve been looking for years. Combined with Dr. Duffy’s stint at NWBO one would be excited but with NWBO 2+2 seldom equals 4. When we have a CEO that likes to control everything and Merck would demand too much control. What is in the interest of shareholders (getting paid big now) is not in the interest of management since they can weather a wait far better than retail for financial reasons and because they have inside knowledge.

I hope Merck does a BO but that is by no means assured.

Yes, the Keytruda patent will expire, and any combo patent does not extend it.

Dream away. Merck has already had a large commitment to Moderna for cancer vaccines, already release successful Phase 2 melanoma trial. They have all the visibility for the DCVax-L trial data and they have not shown any interest in buying this OTC penny stock with dubious clinical trial. Clearly wishful thinking -- share price took a dive on Friday afternoon.
