Missling is the worst communicator I have ever seen in development-stage biopharma companies. He obviously doesn’t care what shareholders think or want from him. Even if he did, he shows little aptitude for communicating and no interest in becoming a better communicator. If he has a plan for Anavex, he does not share it. He’s a multi-millionaire who is firmly entrenched in his job and has a board of directors (of which he is chairman) that does not hold him accountable for any of his many self-inflicted wounds that hurt credibility and damage shareholder value. Year after year, it’s always the same. He does whatever he wants without any accountability to anyone. Worse, he knows the majority of his shareholders will support him no matter what he does because they’d rather be wrong than admit being wrong. It’s really that simple.

We know exactly what the plan is - just as we do for all pre-revenue life sciences companies that are working to commercialize therapies for unmet needs: get approved to sell life-changing products that will generate revenue and profit. The great thing about biopharm is that you actually do know exactly what is going and and have an order of magnitude idea of timing and cost (yes, double both, at least.)

What you describe as a problem is not a problem. This is a waiting game and when the stock price goes down then there is loads of negative feelings that surface. If the stock was $30 per share then no one would be complaining. Right now we are seeing emotional reflexes kick in as the market delivers blows to our investment kneecaps, but the underlying business is just chugging along. We just have to wait for market sentiment and 2-73 data to drive AVXL the other way.

Great questions. I have been here from the beginning. Our lack of seeking approval for Alz, Rett, PD, Sleep…Something, is mind boggling on some days. Other days are more hopeful. With all of our successful trials, seeking approval for any neurological disease seems remotely possible. That’s when I’m believing Dr Missling knows what he is doing. Other days, forget about it.

If we read the Message Board, we see the anti Anavex camp is much surer of their viewpoints than the Pro Anavex.

All their assertions are backed with what seems like thousands of years of authentication. They seem extremely strong and positive about all their assertions. They don't make guesses, they issue proclamations.

Then the wobbly kneed Pro Anavex Camp speculates on the possibilities that could be occurring with the developments taking place. All they have is the story Anavex tells us, trying to piece together the jigsaw puzzle, connecting dots.

Both these camps are working with the same information. How can they be so different in potential outcomes and certainty?

I would speculate that one camp isn't constrained by anything other than their desire for their outcome to be correct while the other is trying to make the most that can be made with the pieces of the puzzle that are dealt.

One is total fantasy, the other is the complexity that life always presents, requiring more than pure ego to exist.

Can anyone be 100% certain of which one is correct at this point?

My guess is no but someone could be pretty sure which one isn't.
