TC made it very clear. LQMT does not have the cash to restart domestic manufacturing. LQMT does not have a domestic high volume parts order from a USA customer or foreign customer abroad with operations also here in the USA. At the same time LQMT stated that customers who want to do business require a back up manufacturing source before they place an order. It’s a reason LQMT has stated as to why they are having a difficult time nailing down a high volume part order. It’s a catch 22.
So either someone is bullshiting someone or The company has to keep silent on the remote possibility of an existing customer in negotiations with LQMT, who is satisfied with the one source manufacturer for LQMT. Which if that is the case is good but then leaves all conclusions to speculation and not facts.
I think the company needs to back up their rhetoric and start utilizing the blog more often like once or twice a month to keep all more informed on company activity and explain the conflicting statements on the need or no need for a backup manufacturer.
