Thanks Lykiri,

When I suggested this possibility it was certainly with no expertise on my part. It's nice to know that some experts agree that it's a possibility.

I don't know that the day will come where FlaskWork units will be found all over the world right in the hospitals where the surgery's being done, but I would think that most hospitals that can handle brain surgery probably already have much of the equipment they'd need to support having a FlaskWork unit in their hospital. If it ever comes to that, I suspect it will be a very different unit from the Eden unit they're working with today. I would suspect that from the time the tumor was removed from the patient and leukapheresis done the process would nearly be completely automated.

We are at the infancy of personalized drugs. If FlaskWorks remains an independent operation within the company, I believe they could ultimately build a variety of units, each one intended to produce a different product for many different companies. If I'm right about that, in time, FlaskWorks may very well become a division within NWBO that's generating tremendous profits by making units that make other companies products.

Wow this Mark Lowdell is someone I think LP knows real well and his opinion on something like Gary has been telling us having FW/EDEN at the bedside of the patient is no wonder actually shaping up.

Very interesting and thanks for sharing Lykiri.

Thanks for pasting; The moral of the story for "Fully distributed manufacture where the product is manufactured at the hospital site" is NOT Doable forever for individual hospitals or at least for a very very very long time. IMO

I saved this post til I could find the time to read through it. Mark Lowdell synopsised the distributed manufacturing scenarios quite thoroughly, addressing the challenges of the various models of distribution. Manufacturing at the hospital site has never seemed an ideal method to me and Lowdell pretty much presents the reasons and risks as to why such a scenario really isn’t ideal (at least that’s how I read it). The bedside black box scenario might work, but Flask Works does not offer that yet as there are still three or so days of production that take place out of the black box.

Anyhow, thanks for posting that helpful read. :)

Lykiri,

This article should be read by all NWBO investors as this is precisely why I have stated many times it’s manufacturing, manufacturing, manufacturing. This also points to why Edens coupled with digitization is an absolute necessity to get past product release limitations.
The fact that this write up is done by Dr. Mark Lowdell who has worked hand in hand with NWBO and had his picture taken with Kristyn Powers, her dad, Linda Powers and others, bears witness to the fact that he speaks with authority with regard to the cutting edge challenges faced by NWBO and others in this cell therapy realm. Best wishes.
