But the consequences of not bailing out depositors is also concerning ..... plenty of banks, especially smaller ones, probably have assets including treasuries with fair value way below face value and might fail in the case of a "run on the bank". There's no ideal solution. SIVB shareholders will certainly NOT be bailed out, so that's at least some punishment and deservedly so.
