what would be driving the AVXL share price so strongly against the declining NASDAQ?
Low volume and only a $0.30 price gain. I think it is more likely that the stock price is just rebounding a little from the recent $9.37 low on March 2. For sure I don't see anything to get excited about with this one-day divergence from the biotech indicies.
Is something afoot? Today, what would be driving the AVXL share price so strongly against the declining NASDAQ?
I don't know if any of you can see individual trades (can you?), but I can't (or don't know how). But on a slow-trading stock like AVXL, I sometimes look at individual minutes on a minute-interval chart, specifically the minutes that show the larger volume bars. I'm interested in the ones where the High matches the Close and the Low matches the Open (or vice versa for a red volume bar). So, for example, at 10:01, 4.71k shares were traded with Open=Low=9.74 and Close=High=9.78; at 10:35, same but 3.94k from 9.97 to 9.98; at 11:09, 7.42k from 9.94 to 9.98; at 11:13, 6.87k from 9.98 to 10.00; at 11:39, 6.3k from 10:04 to 10:07, etc. I equate these to someone probably buying in, a sort of accumulation. Is this just stupid? I can take being told if it is!
